I keep hearing all the talk about how journaling helps you mentally and emotionally. Well, I found this interesting blog comment that confirmed this loud and clear.

What this also goes on to say is that journaling helps open up creativity and makes a person feel better! I even recall reading that when people journal they could lose weight because they start to feel better about who they are and their life.
So if that isn't a reason to get started...well, I don't know what is!

Thanks for the mention. Journaling is definitely a cornerstone of Julia Cameron's weight-loss advice, and I posted it because I do see her assertion that creative expression in a journal redirects energy that might be spent inappropriately snacking/eating or not exercising.
Journaling is an incredibly diverse tool, so good for achieving so many different types of goals.
